Your vet will discuss possible differential diagnoses after listening to the history you provide and performing a physical exam. The next step is diagnosis of the underlying cause. In many cases, your vet will want to get some X-rays of the back legs, spine, and pelvis. This allows him or her to see what might be going on with the bones, joints, or organs visible on the X-ray.

People often need to try different things to create a plan that works for them. Some may cut back on sugar and eat more protein to stay fuller longer. Others may focus on crowding out unhealthy food with extra fruits and vegetables. Still others take the guesswork and temptation out of life by sticking to just a few breakfast and lunch choices that they know are nutritious. The details will depend on what you like and what fits in best with your life.

Diabetic retinopathy is an eye condition that can cause vision loss and blindness in people who have diabetes. It affects blood vessels in the retina (the light-sensitive layer of tissue in the back of your eye).

What do we mean by clear subject matter? If you're posting a picture of your pet, make sure your pet stands out in the photo. Does your dog blend in with the photo's busy or colorful background? Is he or she out of focus? Instagram users are most likely to open and double tap photos that stand out - photos that compel them to pause and take a closer look.

One other huge tip? Post puppy photos and videos. Seriously. Instagram users cannot get enough puppy content, and engagement is tremendously higher for adorable puppies. Have you ever noticed how very big Instagram dog accounts will frequently post 'throwback' puppy photos? This is because puppy photos naturally get more likes, comments, and shares. No one can resist clicking on and fawning over a puppy golden retriever or adorable baby dachshund... then sharing it with three friends. If you have high resolution puppy photos and videos, use them to your advantage and post one every 1-2 weeks.

Spend time each day interacting and engaging with your new Instagram friends. Like photos, respond to comments, and comment on posts you love. These accounts will give you inspiration for posts. You'll also get on their radar - a bunch of these accounts will probably follow you back.

Do you prefer Pinterest? We launched DJANGO on Pinterest just recently and have since become huge fans of the platform. One Pinterest strategy we recently discovered is to pin your Instagram photos to Pinterest. Make sure each Instagram photo 'pinned' links back to your original Instagram post. Whenever someone comes across your Pinterest post and clicks, they'll automatically be taken to your Instagram post. All of a sudden you are driving new traffic to your Instagram page!

We would love to hear from you and check out your Instagram account! Drop us a comment below (include your Instagram account name!) and remember to follow our sausage dog celeb Django on Instagram. DM us on Instagram when you do so we can follow you back!

Dog backpack carriers have become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. These pet carriers are incredibly functional and useful in countless settings. Do you love hiking, strolling, or shopping around town with your dog? Do you live in a city, take public transportation, or commute with your pup? Do you have a senior dog with arthritis, a puppy that has not been vaccinated, or a dog recovering from surgery like our dachshund, Django?

Dog backpacks are safe and convenient pet travel carriers where your dog can rest and relax comfortably without slowing you down. They are worn like a standard backpack (on your back) and have a dedicated, secure, and comfy place for your pup to ride.

If your dog appears to have hearing loss, consider ways to help guide him with dog training for deaf dogs. Yes, old dogs can learn new tricks. Hand signals for behaviors can be helpful. Using a blinking light at night to guide him back in after his elimination trip to the backyard is an easy one. Baloo responds very well to me flicking the backyard light on and off when he needs to come back in. A deaf dog may startle when you come up to him if he is resting or sleeping. With the startle he may even go to snap. To prevent startling a dog with hearing loss, stomp on the floor to cause a vibration as a warning that you are approaching.

You may stop by a Welcome Desk, located at both North and South entrances at the Zoo, or call the Membership Office at (314) 646-4771; option 2 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. If you are purchasing a membership gift certificate at the Welcome Desk, you may take the gift certificate with you that day or have it mailed to you. If you are purchasing any other level membership at the Welcome Desk or by phone, your gift certificate will be mailed to you. The gift recipient(s) will need to complete the form and mail it back to the Zoo to activate their membership.

Your status is only shown to people you follow. So if someone follows you but you don't follow them back, they won't be able to view your status. The same is true for your friends. You can see when they were last online if they follow you back. 041b061a72
